This Is Me
I am a quality-driven chemist with over 23 years of experience in evaluating pharmaceutical samples, highway construction materials, and traffic control products. Founded AM Quality Improvement Solutions, LLC in 2025 to assist organizations in optimizing material performance for public safety and infrastructure longevity, improving quality management systems, and enhancing processes. My knowledge extends to Laboratory Safety, Root Cause Analysis, Corrective and Preventive Actions.
I currently lead the panel for NCHRP 17-138, directing research on pavement marking selection for bridge and pavement preservation treatments. My previous role as Vice-Chair of AASHTO COMP TS 4c: Markings and Coatings allowed me to drive improvements in standard methods and specifications, shaping practices that enhance industry-wide practices. At the national level, I have played a key role in advancing transportation industry standards, serving as a technical member in multiple AASHTO Product Evaluation & Audit Solutions programs, coordinating the 2019 Pavement Marking Materials (PMM) test deck, and providing support to Utah and Indiana test decks within PMM and HFTO installations, respectively.
I have served as Project Manager for research initiatives, including the Accelerated Weathering of Traffic Control Materials by Laboratory Testing, leading efforts to assess durability and performance of sign sheeting materials. Additionally, I have collaborated as a technical review committee member on multiple DOT research projects covering raised pavement markers, soil characterization, green bike lanes, and high-friction surface treatments, ensuring rigorous analysis and advancement in transportation safety and infrastructure.
In addition to my expertise in materials evaluation, I am a Certified Public Manager with over seven years of experience as a Chemistry Laboratory Manager, overseeing state employees and consultants to ensure efficiency. I have successfully managed accredited laboratory, driving excellence in testing and field evaluation operations while fostering a culture centered on accuracy, precision, compliance, and continuous improvement.
